Founder & Lead Consultant

Elana is the founder and lead consultant for MiDDLEGROUND. She is driven by a passionate belief that purposeful leadership can be released in any individual or organisation. A dynamic facilitator and coach, who has a vast array of experience working with individuals and teams from the private, public and NGO sectors. Her work has spanned sub-Saharan Africa, Asia, Central America, the UK and Europe.

Elana’s approach is to build on what is already working, whilst also tackling immediate issues by uncovering the underpinning systems and beliefs that need to shift. Her experiential and participative methods engage stakeholders towards powerful transformation and sustainable high performance.

Elana has supported large global organisations with dispersed teams to enable collaborative working with a greater sense of purpose. She has also helped organisations to grow from small start-ups into large corporations. Elana has done this with a keen awareness of the challenges that this expansion can bring and so provided ongoing support to leaders in managing and growing their organisations.

Elana studied psychology at the University of Cape Town and Rhodes University in South Africa and trained as a creative therapist in the UK.
